God is not looking for perfect mothers to raise perfect daughters. He is looking for imperfect mothers who are raising imperfect daughters in an imperfect world . . . And desperately dependent on a perfect God for the results!

Amen! I have two daughters (teenagers) and am trusting God to show me how to be the mother he desires me to be. Each one of my girls are different. One commands attention and the other I have to give her attention otherwise she’ll place herself on the back burner. I may not be perfect but thank God He is! 🙂
Amen sister. Life is tough. I’ve realized that the Lord gives us (within our marriage and children) each trait, gifts and character we will need or encounter in this life. I have 4 children (2 girls & 2 boys) each one very different. I tell my children who struggle with the sibling the most different than them, that it will possibly be THAT personality that they will marry! As they sigh deeply in disgust, I explain to them the importance of learning how to love and forgive that person and enjoy the differences as God has “allowed” those situations to grow, stretch and prepare them for “their road ahead”.
