It's All Grace

Amazing things can happen when you allow the Lord to work in your life.

Happiness is tied in “nots”

Did you know that unsaved people can enjoy blessings, just like saved people can?

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.    Psalm 1:1-3

This word blessed means – happy with a glow.  This is more about how he lives, than what he has.  It’s based on what he does “not” do.  This man is happy because he has some “nots” in his life. In the verse above, we see a digression; not walk, not stand, not sit.  How do you end up a scorner?  You don’t have any “nots” tied into your life.

Something to think about: If we go through life, and ALL WE HAVE are positives, and no negatives, there will never be any real charge to get things done.  For example:  If you try to jump start a vehicle with only a positive charge, it won’t help much.  You need the negative side to complete the charge!  The “NOTS” in your life complete the charge.

Tie a “not” today in your life concerning friendships.  When you leave the presence of your friends, are you more excited about your relationship with God, or less excited?

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”      Proverbs 13:20

What are your “nots”?  Tie some “nots” into your life and you will be blessed!

Marriage and Sin

Anyone planning on getting married soon?  If you’re afraid to face your sin, don’t get married, because marriage will expose your sin like no other relationship known!  This is what happens when two sinners live under one roof!

Many times people get married with the idea that the “other person” will make them happier.  What if God designed your marriage to make you holy . . . even more than to make you happy?  This thought certainly puts a different perspective on marriage.

Wasn’t It Smart of God To:

Make a single strand of DNA into an information storage unit that is a thousand times thinner than a strand of hair yet capable of holding enough information to fill a stack of books that would stretch from the earth to the moon 500 times!

Design us to sing when we’re happy and cry when we’re sad, and at other times, to cry when we’re happy and sing when we’re sad.

Not allow wisdom to be purchasable.  Otherwise only the wealthiest of us would be wise.

Make dirt and then create man from it so that whether we’re unlearned or intelligent, poor or wealthy, we all know where we got our start.

Let us know that HIS “power is made perfect in weakness” since weakness is one thing we have plenty of.
