It's All Grace

Amazing things can happen when you allow the Lord to work in your life.

Glass tongues

“If ONLY our tongues were made of glass . . . how much more careful would we be when we speak”?  by Shaun Shane

Our tongues are the strongest muscle in the body, proportionally speaking, so we can lift the spirits of our families and friends. What will you do with that which is in your mouth?  Bridle it or unleash it?  They both make a long lasting impact. Which will you choose?

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers”.  Ephesians 4:29

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue:  and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”  Proverbs 18:21

What’s In Your Wallet?

Saying Surrender.  Lord, I’ve heard people say, “Give God your wallet and He’ll have you.”  You have my wallet, God.  That’s easy — it’s usually empty anyway.  So, how do I begin to give myself completely?  “Give me your mouth, child.  It’s never empty.  Then I’ll have you.”  OUCH

Blessings and Trauma

Do you ever wonder what Mary’s prayers consisted of?  Did she pray for blessings and if so, did she realize that the blessings would bring traumatic experiences to her physical life and her heart?

It’s easy to pray with your mouth “not thy will but Thine”, but does your heart and soul truly follow suit?

Even though Mary’s news from the angel was a blessing and she submitted to the Lord . . . do you think it was also traumatic?  Whether it is traumatic will all be determined by your perspective.

Some of the greatest blessings in our life can also bring trauma, yet the trauma as well as blessings each have an eternal purpose.  May we have a new perspective on answered prayers — accepting that which the Lord has “blessed” us with.

Is Your Mouth Full?

Is your mouth FULL?  Don’t look now Lord! I don’t want you to see me standing here with my big foot crammed in my mouth!

Don’t worry, child. If I didn’t love you just as much with your foot in your mouth, I’d hardly ever get a chance to love you!

Proverbs 13:3 “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life; but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction”.
