It's All Grace

Amazing things can happen when you allow the Lord to work in your life.

God’s Safety Valve

“By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art He that took me out of my mother’s bowels:  my praise shall be continually of thee.”  Psalm 71:6

Did you know . . . that more than 75% of all women in their first trimester of pregnancy suffer some form of morning sickness?  More than 1/2 become physically sick.  Although this does not help to feel better during pregnancy, it might help to know that morning sickness may serve a good purpose.

Most of the food that we ingest has a natural low concentration of poisons.  It has been concluded (by biologists from the University of California) that morning sickness may be the body’s way of protecting the developing child.  This newly developing infant is extremely susceptible to low levels of toxins in the mother’s body until about the 8th week of development. When the mother’s body detects a level of toxins dangerous to the developing child, it may use morning sickness to rid the body of them!

Other studies have shown that women who get nauseous and vomit during early pregnancy have lower rates of miscarriage than women who don’t get sick.

Wow!  We serve an Amazing God who thought of EVERYTHING, and finds details to be important!

Wasn’t It Smart of God To:

Make rain fall in little drops instead of one big one.

Put our feet as far as possible from our noses.

Give a new dad 9 months to prepare for how much his life with drastically change.

Give us hips to use as baby rests.

Give us lips so when we kiss we don’t bang our teeth together.

Give us 32 teeth so if we lose a few we still have some to chew with.

Give us gnats to test our patience and tongue control.

Wasn’t it smart of God to:  Design light and objects to make shadows.  (Otherwise there would be no sundials, no hand shades for the eyes, and no relief from the blazing sun under the trees and behind large rocks.  And we wouldn’t understand these beautiful and comforting words:  “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”  Psalm 91:1)
