It's All Grace

Amazing things can happen when you allow the Lord to work in your life.

Our Old Nature

Our old nature is like the pig and the raven, always looking for something unclean on which to feed.

Our new nature is like the sheep and the dove, yearning for that which is clean and holy.  No wonder there are so many struggles in the life of the believer!

99 Sheep or ONE?

In the story of the 99 sheep and one who left the flock, could it be that because God says to leave the 99 to go find the one, is because the 99 have been born again, and the ONE is lost?

It’s almost odd to think we’d risk losing a whole flock of sheep just to find one who doesn’t want to stay.  Seeing it from that angle, changes things!  Do we care more about our lives, than we do souls?

Anointed or Just Annoyed?

Flies can be a serious problem in the summer.  Did you know that sheep will do almost anything  to rid themselves of flies buzzing around their heads, even kill themselves?  There are warble flies, bot flies, heel flies, nose flies, black flies, mosquitoes, gnats & other winged parasites that can readily turn summer months into a time of torture for sheep & drive them to major distractions or even their own death!  However, it’s not the major distractions that tear our lives apart as much as it is the pesky little irritants!

The Shepherd will anoint the sheep’s head for many reasons.  The Shepherd loves and cares for HIS sheep.  HE anoints them to soothe their pain, correct their thinking & heal their relationships.  What “little” thing are you letting destroy you today?  Instead of swatting at them to go away, only to return unbothered by your frustration, let the Shepherd take care of you by allowing HIM to anoint your head, resulting in a cup that runneth over.

Psalm 23:5  “Thou preparest a table before me before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
